Poor Noah. His plight in life is a sad one! He and Arwen were discussing it in the car yesterday and it almost brought a tear to my eye ;) Noah explained to Arwen that he didn't want to grow up because he didn't want a mustache. Arwen told him that maybe he would be lucky and not grow one...then thought a bit and said that he would get one, but that he could shave it like Daddy. Noah got really upset and told her that it would hurt him to shave...that he would bleed. Arwen agreed with him and told him that yes, he would bleed and it would hurt. Then she said that Daddy never screams, because he is grown, but that he cries...oh yes he cries. Poor Noah was in tears at this point! Ahhh...if only growing a mustache were the biggest of his troubles in life...what a great life he would have!

Super hysterical...in a sad sort of way. But guess what! This must be a serious, serious concern for little boys because probably 6 months ago Evan brought up this VERY SAME THING in the car one day. He made me PROMISE that we would teach him how to shave so that he doesn't get hurt. It was the funniest conversation, but he was pretty petrified of the hair first growing through his skin (ouch!) and then shaving it off (double ouch!). Boys!

That is hilarious. I can't wait to hear all the crazy things my boys come up with.

Oh, my sad little guy!:( He is so tender-hearted. Tell him that the Hudson side don't grow very thick beards so even when he shaves, is won't be much hair.

I probably shouldn't have told him that he'd hurt himself if he plays with my razor.

totally unrelated...how do you design your blog not using a template...say for example I want a picture to be the background and design the layout myself...how do I do that?

tender little sweetheart. He really feels things deeply. We won't tell him that grandma Marshmallow used a singe edge razor when she was a teen and took hair and 2-ish layers of skin along with it right on her shin bone. She STILL has the scars! Tell him, from his Nielsen grandparents, that razors have WAY IMPROVED!

So I take it Arwen doesn't know about her lifelong chore of shaving her legs and armpits? She might have been able to comfort him with that. Ha ha. I can't wait to hear what Madelyn and Christopher discuss. Madelyn's toy discussions are quite disturbing sometimes and then we have a happy talk but she just smiles and tells me it's all pretend mommy. Ok :-0
